What is a car side awning?
Side awnings can be mounted on almost any vehicle, with roof rails or roof luggage racks. They come in a variety of sizes, fit your car, and provide a useful covered area next to your car that you can use to shelter from the rain or sun. This also means that you can get into your car while they are erected.

The awning is mounted on the roof of your car and is most commonly opened by hand, pulled out, or rolled out. The canvas is attached to a sturdy aluminum metal frame, which is supported by legs and held in place by stapled guide ropes.

What size of awning do I need to buy?
Although vehicle requirements vary, the awning can be installed at any 2 points along its length due to the continuous dual channels on the back. So just measure the length of your car and the area you want to cover. However, make sure not to have too much overhang with the vehicle as this could pose a danger to other road users while driving.
